I was curious to find out if it affected productivity levels for the business in question.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Today\u2019s work-from-home capabilities are much more sophisticated than simply carrying on conversations over the phone.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We have access to email, chat, video conferences, cloud collaboration software, and dozens of other technologies that now make it possible for almost any office job to be done completely and remotely. Yea, so in Nigeria, internet isn&#8217;t as good as other countries, but we do more than ok.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2177321403470136\" data-ad-slot=\"5058759332\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Cons from working at home<\/h2>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">However, there are a few cons which arise from working from home &#8211; whether as a Startup, an employer, one man business or staff, and they<b>\u00a0include:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>Distractions &amp; Interruptions<\/b>. There&#8217;s such a thing as too much time on one&#8217;s hands, and I&#8217;ve caught myself most often than not playing on Twitter and Instagram when I&#8217;ve got deadlines to deliver. (Well&#8230;sometimes, that\u00a0<i>Twitter chat m<\/i>ay be work. Lol)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>Lack of communication.\u00a0<\/b>If you have staff or colleagues and y&#8217;all are working remotely then most likely when you meet in person, things are gonna be awkward as f**k.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>Loyalty issues<\/b>. This is if you have a staff working remotely. Most of them are just using you to pass time until they get something better. And as long as you&#8217;re making then work from home, the odds aren&#8217;t in your favor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>Overworking<\/b>: lol. This is definitely true.\u00a0<\/span>Once you\u2019re in the habit of working from home, escaping the commute and the hassle, the temptation to work after hours is considerable. People find their families suffer, they find their fatigue levels increase and so do their stress levels. Everyone I work with know I choose midnight as one of my best working hours. I really oughta stop this. \ud83d\ude41\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><b>Loneliness<\/b>. No benefits of mingling with coworkers and supervisors.\u00a0The natural collaboration and exchange of ideas that happens in a workplace\u00a0<i>can<\/i>\u00a0be important. That\u2019s why\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jennagoudreau\/2013\/02\/25\/back-to-the-stone-age-new-yahoo-ceo-marissa-mayer-bans-working-from-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jennagoudreau\/2013\/02\/25\/back-to-the-stone-age-new-yahoo-ceo-marissa-mayer-bans-working-from-home\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1505252801301000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGncv5Bw6Sf0hEXVL7kUmGzIRE4WQ\">Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer ordered all home-based employees back to the office<\/a>\u00a0two years ago. Her reasoning: \u201cSome of the best decisions and insights come from hallway and cafeteria discussions, meeting new people and impromptu team meetings.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But the advantages are cool too..<\/span><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Pros that come with working from home<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>You own your time.<\/b>\u00a0No-one breathing down your neck and telling you what to do. I notice I&#8217;m way more productive when there&#8217;s autonomy. I choose my hours and end up doing more than I would if I were in an\u00a0<i>office.\u00a0For example, if you\u2019re a web developer or a content creator, you can most likely do your coding or writing whenever it suits you as long as you meet your deadlines.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><b>No overhead costs<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; For example, rent for office space, except maybe the basics &#8211; printer, phone recharge cards, internet connection etc (this applies whether you own the business or not&#8230;)\u00a0<\/span>as well as indirect costs such as expensive professional wardrobes and the dry-cleaning of those.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your Office Can Be Anywhere<\/strong>.\u00a0And not necessarily your home. That doesn\u2019t mean your only other location will be the coffee shop around the corner: You can work while traveling, on an airplane, in a hotel&#8230;anywhere!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">So what do you think?
